 Jammu:The Centre has sanctioned a
rehabilitation plan of Rs 1,618 crore for Kashmiri migrants in
the Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir was today informed.
Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla said under the scheme,
3,000 posts have been created exclusively for Kashmiri
migrants willing to return to the Valley.
So far no Kashmiri, including pandits, has returned to
the Valley, he said, adding these posts have been created for
registered Kashmiri migrants willing to return to the Valley,
including Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs and not exclusively for
Kashmiri migrants.
No separate quota has been fixed for pandits who
stayed back in the Valley, he said, referring to internally
displaced people who have not migrated but were dislocated
within the Valley due to security reasons. |
