  Maoists blow up railway tracks
  Maoists,72-hour bandh,Bihar,railway tracks blown up,orissa,,operation green hunt,west bengal

Jamui (Bihar):To enforce 72-hour bandh, Maoists blew up railway tracks near Rajla station on Jhaja-Jasidih section of East Central Railway in Bihar's Jamui district, officials said.
Several trains have already been cancelled on the route because of the 72-hour bandh called by the Naxals in four states -- Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa and West Bengal to protest the proposed 'Operation Green Hunt' to be launched by Centre against them.
The Naxals are protesting the joint police action in the four states. . .
"About 40 Maoist guerrillas blew up the up and down tracks late last night between Rajla and Narganjo railway halts near Kahba bridge, affecting the movement of several long-distance and local trains," Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) U S Dutt told.
A stretch of 2.5 feet of up line and five feet of down line was damaged in the blast, railway sources said. While jawans of GRP, RPF and local police have reached the site, Divisional Railway Manager of Asansol D K Gaien has also rushed to the spot to oversee the repair work, official sources said.
The attack comes as the Prime Minister calls a meeting with the chief ministers to discuss internal security which includes Naxalism and terrorism in the country
Home Minister P Chidambaram is scheduled to visit West Bengal on February 9 to take stock of the security situation in the state
